“I had substance abuse problems as a teenager; I was diagnosed with schizophrenia when I was about 20. I went through East House as a client and received some excellent services that helped me grow and get an education, and eventually become a Peer. I’ve been through a lot, and now I can give back.”

East House understands . . . and in the words of our President and CEO, Lindsay Gozzi-Theobald, “Both mental health and substance use disorders often stem from trauma.”
