Treatment Apartment Programs (TAPS)
The mission of East House is to empower individuals in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders to recover and to live healthy and fulfilling lives in their community.
Mental Health Apartment Programs (MHAP):
Supporting people with a primary diagnosis of a mental health disorder. The apartments are master-leased through East House and scattered throughout Rochester.
Services include, evaluation and treatment; medication management; counseling and training in independent living; social and recreational programs; career counseling and work training activities; family education and support; coordination; with other service providers; and case management.
Substance Use Disorder Program (CDAP):
Supporting 72 people living in 40 apartments with a primary diagnosis of substance use disorder. 8 of our apartments serve men and women with their children. The apartments are master-leased through East House and scattered throughout Rochester.
Services include, evaluation and treatment; medication management; counseling and training in independent living; social and recreational programs; career counseling and work training activities; family education and support; coordination; with other service providers; and case management.
Financial Case Management:
Many individuals in recovery have gaps in their finances from when their illness was acute. The East House team works with each client to maximize their benefits, teach them how to maintain a budget, repair credit history, settle past disputes, including child support and other issues.

Alexander Commons:
16 beds within our Supportive Single Room Occupancy (SP-SRO) apartments with staff onsite 24/7.
14 beds within our Treatment Apartment Program (TAP) with staff onsite 24/7.
Licensed through the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH)
This site offers 30 affordable housing units for the Rochester community (not affiliated with East House).
Paul Wolk Commons:
30 one-bedroom apartments with staff onsite 24/7
