| Are you looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity that can take as little as one hour of your time each week?
East House values the contributions of volunteers. By sharing their time and talent, they are directly helping to improve the quality of life of the individuals we serve. In return, volunteers have satisfaction of knowing that they have made a meaningful contribution, all the while acquiring knowledge and experience to further their personal or occupational goals.
In recognition of the important contributions made by volunteers, East House is committed to recruit, screen and select the most interested and qualified individuals and then provides orientation, training, supervision and recognition to those individuals.

Become an East House Volunteer
The first step to becoming an East House volunteer is to call the Career Services Office at (585)473-3360 ext. 32 to schedule an appointment to meet with the staff member who coordinates the volunteers at our office. You will be asked to complete an application, provide references, and complete other paperwork, as necessary. As the program is partially funded by the Office of Mental Health, all volunteers are required to undergo fingerprinting as part of the background process. Once the paperwork is processed, you will be contacted and can begin providing volunteer services.
