Family Services are an important part of the rehabilitation process.  Families are provided with information, skills, and support to help them cope with their relative’s illness. Services include an orientation to East House, individual consultations, support group meetings, educational and social programs, a lending library of educational material, and the Family Ties newsletter. 

Last year:
	Education and support were consistently provided to family members individually and through Family Support Groups.
	Nearly one-hundred people attended an educational program presented by Muhammad Cheema, M.D., on relapse awareness and prevention strategies in the management of Schizophrenia.
	A gathering of more than 300 East House clients, families and employees enjoyed the annual family picnic at Genesee Valley Park in August, and a Holiday Dinner at the Diplomat in December.
